I'm a trustee of a trust belonging to our family. I do A LOT of work for the trust such as plumbing, painting, fencing, electrical, sewage (eek, on a beach house), new tenants, arguing with the accountant, and don't charge anything to the trust as it's family. I don't mind doing it though as I spend the rest of my time doing the same with my own properties.

You can bill the trust and get paid, but it seems to be a bit too much of a money go-round with tax being paid too many times on the same money.
