This has nothing to do with GW or GAWD....
Man at one time lived in caves and was closer to nature...if he wasn't aware he got eaten by those Saber Toothed Tigers that were roaming around, also he didn't get to catch a dinosauer or two for dinner so he went hungry. Thus to survive he had to use all his senses to their utmost.
As man became civilized and started living in artifical caves...called apartments and tract houses he slowly lost the use of his sixth sense because he didn't need to use it as much anymore....
Till today we all walk around oblivious to the messages our surroundings are sending us...So their is no real magic in having what is called a Sixth Sense about things....
