ummm...yeah, I do know where most of them are made. I was "int he industry" for awhile. But I know where mine are made: Steamboat Springs, CO.
You're right about pretty welds, and there has been much discussion of single v. double pass welds with Ti. The only thing I can say is that I've owned a number of Ti bikes (including an original Teledyne road frame), and Moots is the best I've seen. And it is head and shoulders above any Airborne frame. Period. And it has a soul...kinda like an air cooled 911.
