Matt, you made me chuckle, but you don't actually NEED to split the case to see these numbers - they are on the top flange, one (obviously) on each side...

It should be the work of minutes to simply remove the induction system, fanbelt, fan, alternator, plug wires, fuel lines, and various other lines before you can take off the cooling shroud and viola! The case side numbers are exposed (probably beneath a thick layer of oily dirt). Start as soon as you get home and you'll have plenty of time to see tonight's "Survivor" and "Big Brother" double bill...

Paul - I *think* the "K" stands for "Continuous" as in CIS, as in a 1973 1/2 911T fitted with Bosch K-Jetronic or "Continous Injection System."

BUT! I'm going from memory here - I'd need the (excellent) technical specifications booklet to make sure.
