Scott, thanks for this insight. Macy's (Director, Vendor Development) loved the idea of the mobile when we talked at the show, but I'd bet she wouldn't be familiar with the subtleties of merchandising as you've noted.
Smaller stores, owners, liked it too, so perhaps they don't have such concerns.
Any store with a $1000 or greater first order gets a mobile and a few other merchandising aids. Our whole charm concept needs a bit of signage to message properly.
I'm shopping today to check out Macy's in downtown Boston, the Natick store was disappointing. Dropping this off tomorrow in NY to Macy's with a letter explaining all the reasons they should grant us a presentation meeting.
