Last night I watched the replay of Bill Maher's show from Saturday night. The show had Canseco as the first guest, which was humerous as h3ll when they got into the shriveled raisin testicles stuff.

The panel was the real story. The panel had actor Tim Robins, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, talk show host Tucker Clarson. I have to tell you, Tucker Carlson was damn near the most well spoken, well behaved and articulate I have ever seen him. I usually think he is over the top and almost diffiuclt to listen to. He made Tim Robbins appear to be as misinformed and way out there as he really is. His exchanges with Rep. Jones were not diatribes but rather well reasoned statements of fact.

For once I sat in agreement with Tucker Carlson for an entire show. Scary. Some of his points of interest were:

1. He did not believe going to war in the name of instilling democracy was appropriate. However, he did believe that going to war for the stated reasons of secrurity (like Iraq before the whooops) of the nation was proper.

2. He agreed with Pres. Bush's statement that we have no intention of invading Iran but we won't forclose the idea. This demonstrates our willingness to defend ourselves in the face of the use of nukes.

3. His position on government regulated marriage (the Gov. of Arkansas came on talking about their mandatory counseling program before marriage and before divorce) was that it is a contract regulated by the government and that it was a good idea to try and prevent people from getting out of them so easily.

There were others but I will spare you. I am not saying this guy is a genius or anything but if you watch the episode (no matter which side of the aisle your on) I think you will get a differnt idea of this guy. At least I did.....
