Never seen 986/996 blanks on ebay, just other models.
Do not buy a remote off ebay unless it comes with the paper tag for that remote that has the 24 digit code for that remote. Otherwise it is worthless and cannot be programmed. There is no tag for the valet key. Also you must have the right year.
If you have the correct remote and the code then you need someone with a PST2/PIWIS to program it. Then you still need the key learning code from Atlanta. I know 2 independents that have the PST2 and Porsche will not give them codes. They have to get them through a dealer. You cannot do this yourself and your car must be with the PST2 to introduce a new key.
