The cost of a rebuild has a good bit of range. A lot depends on the shop. And how much you are willing to do yourself. The trick is finding folks who do good work @ a reasonable price. Cheapest is not always best!!

Other questions,
1. a stock motor,
2.D-Jet injection,
3. Heads, valves, seats, etc.
4. New Euro Pistons and Cyl
5. New Cam
6 New lifters

What I recommend is buying a rebuilt motor from Pelican. I just specified the motor I wanted. The outcome was very nice. I removed the old motor and install the new one. Alot easier than rebuilding one and I save a bunch of time.

To answer the question, it could be as cheap as $2000 to over $5000 depending many variables. Extra Power runs about $100 a HP. Just be sure to get a detailed quote and have it reviewed by some folks here on the BBS
