Wow! what a difference!
I got my bushings from Charlie a while ago, but just got a chance to install them along with the shift ball cup and shaft bushing. Even though I have a factory short shift kit, these made a huge difference.
One note on the installation. I've herd a few people mention the risk of dammaging the outer coupler housing while driving out the shaft. I took heed to the caution with FIRE! I torched the old plastic bushings to the point where they oooosed out. I slipped a deep socket (Like 14mm maybe?) over the shaft and with 2 wacks of the hammer the shaft losened to the point that it was very easy to tap out.
Not that it was needed, but with this method there is no risk or worry of dammaging the outer coupler. The plastic goop ended up like hot melt glue and took a few minutes to scrape off. NBD.
I can't think of a better upgrade to the shifter!
Thanks Charlie!
I hope Pelican can get the word out about this great new product!
