I am going to sit outside of the theater with a couple of rolls of contact paper, some sissors and some coffee cans and make a mint selling custom graphics and tail pipes.
The only thing dumber than that movie has been the interviews with the "star" of the movie. What a dolt. The Friday that movie was released I watched a line of 15+ cheese-ball rice boys bouncing on thier bump stops into the theater parking lot - 3 tier wings and 5" tail pipes everywhere. It was like they were going to a revival. I am usually all about being an individual and try to look at the quality of a car and it's modifications vs. if it is "my" particular style. 95% of those things (at least in Colorado) are total crap - cut springs, poorly installed "ground effects" and a bolt on muffler (you know, 1" inlet, 5" outlet). Lets not forget the clear lenses - how 'bout some strobes...
Interestingly enough, about 3 months ago I saw a real type R in Boulder. It was a very nice looking car. It looked nothing like the tacky junk these guys are building.
