Not that it was needed, but with this method there is no risk or worry of dammaging the outer coupler. The plastic goop ended up like hot melt glue and took a few minutes to scrape off. NBD.

What a clever idea! As one who broke his coupler trying to tap the pin out, I appreciate your ingenuity!
