The benefits are minor. As the chassis twists, and the engine rotates, the solid mounts allow your shifter to maintain a more-consistent alignment with your tranny. On a track car, they make sense, since you're presumably checking nuts and bolts very regularly anyway. I believe the guys who make PMO carbs hate them; they think the added vibration does more harm than good.
The Wevo ones look like a great product. I wish they'd been available when I was building my car. I used to have solids in back and Club Sport mounts on the tranny. Now, I have Club Sport mounts all around. If you put solid mounts up front on the tranny, you're going to get a LOT of noise in the cabin.
