My idle... smooth as silk.

from 1k to 2.5k, shaky and the car sputters...
from 2.5k to redline, smooth as silk, clean and sounding great. The car is a bit rocky off the line but it gets past 2.5k in a hurry and we're fine. Also at 2.5k is where my car is at 55 mph in 5 gear and there is a bit of stuttering.

What's wrong with this picture.

Also some back fires on decelleration when engine is cold and into the 1k to 2.5k range. When it's warm there is no back firing.

Have a 1974 2.0 with original injections system.
