I think you're a bit confused about Christianity here kach22i, Christian prayer isn't limited to little Bobby Sue praying before bed for God to watch over Mom and Dad. The bible says you shouuld pray for your enemies, etc. I include Bush in my prayers with regularity....I pray for wisdom and strength. I don't supoprt his stance on several issues, and I didn't vote for him. However, that doesn't make him unworthy of my prayers.
