I was horrified this morning when I received a call from a fellow board member and personal friend, Moki, of this news. What a great loss of a true character. I was one of several Pelican members to have had the good fortune to meet Shannon personally and he was exactly the person he portrayed himself to be, a real live wire enjoying life to its fullest. You just couldn't help wanting more mischief when he was around and he could take kidding himself just as well. I am really glad to have met him and am deeply saddened that I will not be seeing him again. A huge loss of a truely unique individual.
