Wire transfer is the safest and most reliable method (other than wads of $100s). I can't believe you'd take PayPal, given their history of reversing a payment on the slightest complaint from the buyer.
You give the buyer your bank's ABA number and account name and number. Having that information
in no way gives the buyer any ability to take money from your account. You should call the guy you spoke to's boss and tell him to hire a new guy for you to speak to.
