Why Artic oil? Because federal leases have the cheapest royalty rate on the planet. Because once they get in (under Bush II) they're in. Because they'll never get thrown out even if there is an accident. Because they may never get a better chance - once GW is finished with the economy. Oil prices have never been higher and are just going up more - can anyone say $4.00 per gallon by 2007? It's already $3.00 gallon (premium) in parts of LA. Oil company profits are in the "technology growth" range. Enormous. Bigger than anytime in history.
Why Artic oil? I have some questions, too:
When does man stop?
When does man start something new?
What part of the earth should not feel the footstep of man?
