It looks like if I try to seperate the fitting from the rubber section going into the tunnel that I would damage the little bit of rubber that is there. I guess if I cut the crimp then I just have to recrimp the new cloth/rubber section onto the remaining piece of the fitting.
I'm wondering if the rubber section going into the tunnel terminates into a steel line and would be a better place to disconnect? Is it possible to access the front section of the tunnel, possibly from inside the car?
