If you have placed the filter correctly you shoudn't experience difficulties reassembling the airbox. However sometimes it can feel a bit tricky because you can't see what you're doing. Try to hold the loose half of the airbox up to the other part and then feel with you fingers where the latches are. Get a grip on the longest of the metal latches and "lift" it free of the plastic tap to move it over and have it catch. Then tighten the small one to make it "click". I find it easier to reassemble the airbox when tightening the latches hidden at the rear first. Recently I replaced my stock airbox with a HiFlow cone shaped airfilter so if you need a picture of the remaining airbox I can e-mail you one.
