Uh, even those aren't native. Most anthropologists think that native N.Americans came from Asia across the land-bridge at the Bering Straight when it connected present-day Siberia with Alaska. But more recent linguistics analysis of "native" Californian Chumash Indians show a remarkable resemblance to the S.Pacific Polenesian languages. This would seem to indicate they traveled from Asia via sea, to the islands, then to S. America and worked their way up north...
As for Cali being a bunch of kooks, the more the merrier!!!
