I sent the guy a simple inquiry, and this is what he wrote back. He didn't give his name. The picture above is one I found on the internet. It's not the car that's for sale.

Thanks for the inquiry. The RS was originally purchased by the president of Mexico on January 25, 1974, as part of his Porsche collection. I am the third owner. The RS is in original condition, including paint, interior and tires, and has 33,961 km, or 21,090 actual miles. I also have all of the original papers, including the dealer purchase order. Porsche issued a Certificate of Authenticity on the RS on February 23, 2000. The current Certificate of Title has no liens. The RS is considered the finest touring/racing car ever developed, eclipsing the venable Ferrari 250 GTO, which I have raced in four Tour de France. The best place to read about and see lots of photos of the RS 3.0 is in the book Porsche 911 R-RS-RSR by John Starkey. Starkey's book also lists the chassis numbers of all 47 RS 3.0's ever built. The chassis number of my RS is 911.460.9041. The car is currently at a dealer in New York and probably will sell in the next week or so. If you would like a personal preview of the car, please let me know, but time is of the essence. The last RS 3.0 sold at auction in Monterrey seven years ago for approximately $250,000.
