Bought a 1972 911 in Germany 15 years ago, switched it to syn oil. It had been running dino oil for 25 years. Not one leak...

Bought a 1981 911, also in Germany 12 years ago for the wife. Switched it to syn oil and again no leaks...

Bought a 1985 911, in Dallas in 1997. Switched it to syn oil after running dino oil for over 10 years and once again no leaks. Engine is still running syn oil and not leaking.

Do we see any trends here???

Mobil aviation syn suit was settled 10 years ago. Different oil an different application and engine type. Was a problem with the oil and sludge in the propellor hub as well as other areas. 911's (with few exceptions) do not have propellor hubs.

If you search long enough you can find someone to agree with any point you wish to make. Personally I have over 30 years with syn oils and like them. I have trusted my life with them and will continue to do so...
