I would look for a set of 16" wheels for winter use. You will find a better selection of tires. Stay with 7" and 6" widths. Narrower tires work better in snow and ice.

If you go with 15" rims, don't put on the 205/55 225/50 combo. Not only will it change your gearing, it will also lower your car by 1/2" which is not good for winter driving either.
