A Honda hydrogen Fuel cell car was recently spotted by ace reporter kach22i/George at Ann Arbor's city hall.
A crowd quickly gathered, which included the Mayor of tree city. Gleeming the mayor said the EPA testing center on the north side of town is the only hydrogen fueling center in the country (or one of the few - I'm not a professional reporter so I can't mis-quote).
The driver said that there is no gauge on the pump so they don't know how much they are putting into the car. Hence it's hard to calculate the fuel milage in the traditional way.
The driver (beard and glasses) said the reason the car sits so high is the hydrogen tanks under the floor.
That the car if produced would cost around $50,000.
That the car is slient (very quiet).
That the car converts hydrogen to electricity like a spacecraft.
That the car is FWD via the electric motor.
That the car is not slow but not real fast either.
Note: This was not a planned event - just small town thing just happening.
