I unknowingly tried to spend a counterfeit $20, the new style, at my local convience store. The clerk told me it was a fake. He then used "the pen" to show proof.
The next morning I went to my bank with the counterfiet bill, and was asked the first and only question.
"Where did you obtain this?"
From you, I withdrew $100 in $20's from this bank on Friday, and the store across the street informed me this one was bogus.
I didn't even get my $20 back right away, was told they had to credit my account, and that took a few days. I never heard about it again.
Also, I did have a friend in High School (mostly ran together in Jr. High) that made his own money, he eventually got caught. Crazy thing was, his family was loaded.
