Good point. I agree with you. And why I think it's irrelevant has to do with a shift in the economy to a more global nature. The pure liberal ideology isn't lost - not in a nostalgic way - but as far as being workable in today's economics, it definitely is not in vogue. That's one reason there's no such word as "neo-liberal."
