The Rover saga is strangely similar to that of Terri Shiavo. Both have been on a feeding tube for nearly two decades. In both cases the husband (British Aerospace?, BMW, Phoenix) wanted to pull the plug. In both cases the parents (UK government being the parent before Rover was married off in the 1980s) stepped in with "NO, the patient could recover." And now the outcome will be the same. I guess the only difference is that the Phoenix partners have been engaging in vivisection, and selling off the body parts before the patient dies. And the Chinese are waiting for the choice parts ... (a reversal, I admit; the Chinese ususually export body parts)
