oh no.... I'm all for it... nothing like having some fun on the road w/ nice machinery, it's just that the popularity and notoriety of such roads becomes their downfall as well... there's nothing more frustrating than not being able to enjoy such roads at *your* pace
the reality of it is, there are "car clubs" and then there are CAR clubs... not all of them know that their tires work better when they have some heat in them
you end up being stuck behind someone, or an entire car club of "somebodys" that are doing the run for the scenery of it
plus, once a place becomes so widely known, there's the unavoidable police presence too....
hence my conclusion that to properly enjoy these civil engineering's roller coasters, you have to find a way to be there when no one else is there, or close to it-- there's a good reason why "randezvous" was run on a Sunday at dawn
