I think the K1200R could be a great choice - I'd definitely get ABS. I imagine the standard version will have plenty of power... hopefully there will be enough wind protection not to make life too buffety at highway speeds, but even on an unfaired F650 life at 120kmph is OK so I imagine this won't be an issue. I am keen to see what pull at low revs is like...
