Corporations provide....Economy of scale...so that the price of all those luxury goods you own...like your car, refergrator, washing machine, dryer, TV and compiter are affordable to the masses....and it takes alot of R&D money to develope new technology that only a large organization like a corporation can provide...this goes to the quality of your life as well....for instance all the prescription drugs that make your life longer and healthier..

We never know how tabs is going to present himself. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes just goofy. The above post is common here and I think it comes from various bases. Some folks just have to villify liberals because it's just too dangerous to recognize that we may have something to offer in these discussions. Some folks just are too dim to evaluate ideas. Again, various sources.
For those few of you who are actually listening and thinking.....for the record......I am thankful for corporations. Economies of scale, yeah. Better yet, plain ol' capitalism. Fact is, our economic system, the one I occasionally express concerns about, is a furnace. And that's good. And I'd be an idiot not to appreciate the supply-and-demand principle of setting prices and quantities. Lots of great things about corporations and capitalism.
Now, for those of you who are STILL listening, here's "the rest of the story." In America, we're experimenting with the ideology of taking these principles to their logical extreme. We're giving industrial concerns a free reign. Libs like me who suggest policies LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD USES, are spouting pure, idiotic heresy in the minds of some. We think many of you guys are lemmings. Acting as though there is no conflict between the interests of industry and the interests of citizenry. So much so that it's just okay in some peoples' minds that industry basically runs our government. I think that's incorrect, and I think we're headed for a political "correction" at some point.
Okay, I'll shut up. I just wanted to say that I don't hate corporations. My position, tabs, is much more specific than that. Truly, truly....if I were Emperor for a day and could effectively accomplish one thing, I would choose to remove industrial concerns from our public policy making (government) process. I don't like non-citizens running my government. Corporations are great. But I'd rather my government be run my citizens. And again, don't try to tell me they are one-and-the-same.
