nope. you were right on target. you had a chance to set a precedent and you gave in. she has you balls in her purse (your words) and will continue to do so. you indicate that your marriage is still young. if you don't make a point to claim a bit of respect now, you never will in the long run. you need to decide now whether it's worth it to be second-best all your life or to actually have some input as to your destiny. I'm not advocating that you be a total dictator, as any succesful marriage is founded on both parties working together, however it is still important to let her know that you have equal rights in your relationship. consider this, most guys here speak in terms of "if my wife will let me..." or "my wife made me..." or "I don't know. my wife controls my (insert any emasculating activity here)..." but have you ever heard any women speak of their husbands in this manner? hell no! if they did, the NOW gang would be screaming to have the terrorist bastards castrated. quite a double standard. don't you think?
