Been a long time, but if he is using AOL's software, his address book should be there no matter what machine he logs in from.

However, given you are asking the question and it sounds like you have already connected the computer... is he using something else on the old computer to do e-mail?? Like Outlook Express or some other e-mail client? There are ways to export/import from most e-mail clients.

I agree, get rid of AOL. But if it is something that your Dad-in-law is comfortable with - don't change a thing!
