CIS Testing - How does this work?
I purchased the CIS guage to test the warm and cold pressures. Instructions state how to hook it up and to test the system with the engine not running.
I guess I'm missing something here. How do you test fuel pressure in a system that is not running? Wouldn't running the fuel pumps with the engine off risk flooding the cylinders?
Yes, I need to read up more but I'm tired of wasting time on this one. You all have done this many times. Please clue me in.
The CIS problem? Normal hard cold start issue followed by lean condition off boost. I figure WUR bi-metal spring as the culprit.
Thanks.
