I happen to have a picture of the tool I bought on ebay for $20 and to help remove a little mystery it works perfectly on my SC. I use a 15mm ratchet box wrench with it and nothing else is required.
Disclaimer is no AC and backdate heat, so my engine bay is very accessible.
Supe, on the #6 plug I find I can lift that tube that hangs in the way a half inch and that's enough to clear the valve cover with the socket carrying a spark plug.
This measures just under 5.5 inches in length. Klein 21.
