I just installed a new Mirror Switch 4-Way 78-86 (911 613 115 00) in my stock 1979 928. Motor seems to work fine, except it only moves up and down on BOTH passenger and drivers side. So when I try to move the mirror out or in, it just moves up or down. Since the fault occurs on both sides I assumed that I messed up on the wire connections and the motors are fine.

Do you have any suggestions? I tried to change the wiring on the 4 way switch but in only caused the fuse to blow a few times.

Can someone post a wiring diagram or suggest what could be causing this. Essentially my 4-way switch only works 2 ways (up and down).
