I just got married on 11/11/2000... drove the new wife from the church to the reception hall in the 911 in fact. She doesn't "get" cars, doesn't really get into the 10 minute dissertations on why oil cooling is better and for some unknown reason doesn't get excited when I tell her about how you can manipulate the steering with the throttle when pushing the limits, but she does go "wheeeee!!!" when I "blow out the carbons" (in the engine you dirty old foul mouths) on the back roads. More importantly - she loves that Iget excited about those things.
My point being - in my newly-wedded opinion - is that if she wants the 2k rock because she thinks it will get her a leg up on the competition - your Porsche - then you might have your hands full.
If she doesn't see your Porsche as competition to her, but just wants to finish off her friends with their flashy Italian cars by having a better rock than them - let her go for it. Besides, it just might give you leverage later on to do the suspension upgrades... brakes... wheels...
