I would hope anyone with a relationship that bad / psychotic would have the responsibility to not try & bring a child into it in the first place!!
Any 'wife' that would do that in retaliation for a late night at the office belongs in a mental institution, not bringing up a family, IMO.
Somehow I suspect you have zero fear of ever being in that hypothetical scenario.
