Sounds as though the wife wants to work. She might be able to find a wonderful job in Orlando.

The wife and I always talk openly about everything. What are the benefits to the both of you if you accept this position? How solid is the position/company in comparison to your current situation? There are companies who take very good care of their people in Florida as well. I'd go out to dinner and talk about it or cook her dinner and open up the subject. But I'd suggest you let her know that you value her opinion and the both of you will have to agree on the course of action.

Then there is the loss of the earth shaking, the gain of the hurricane blowing, more older folks, the lower cost of living, and the slower Southern life style. Oh, it is hotter and more muggy in Florida as well.
