Scanning the switch itself didn't go. I popped the mirror control out of mine (also a '79) and compared it to the switch I have loose ( both 911 613 115 00)
The best I can describe the wiring positions:
Change over switch: The side with one conductor gets a green wire (this loops to the 4-way also); the side with 2 conductors gets the single blue wire on one terminal and the single black on the other (these are L/R, if backwards swith the blue and black) Important: when I say "side" of the switch, it means the long side!
4-way switch * looking from bottom* , there are 2 terms on each side, one at each end of the rectangle. They go like this:
Top (front of car) - black w/violet stripe
Upper left - double white (2 wires)
Lower left - black and blue double (2 wires)
Upper right - brown
Lower right - green
Bottom (rear of car) - brown
Again; this is with the switch upside down, plug end facing you.
