That's instruction #6. Instruction #5 tells you to put a jumper between pins #30 and #87b on the fuse/relay board where the fuel pump/DME relay is. #30 is the switched power from the key. #87b is the circuit to the fuel pump.
The same thing can be done with a remote starter push button from fuse #2 to fuse #3 as mentioned in a prior post.
As was said before and for the last time the fuel pump does not run with just the key. The engine has to be cranking or running.
