OK, they are both Alusil Type 'LS' Mahle's, apparently from different production versions of the 2.7, the one on the left was from the '75 911S with 8.5:1 compression ratio, and the right one from the '74 standard 911 with only 8.0:1 compression ratio.

Unless you milled the 'hump' of the type on the left enough to bring the compression down to 8.0:1, I don't think using the two type in the same engine would be a good idea!
