When I first purchased my SC in 1999, it took a good 2 years of track driving to reach the limits of the car - at a point where I felt I knew it really & entirely well.
Now I have the 3.6 iteration, only have owned it in it's current form for about 9 months, and have yet to come anywhere close to how good the car is. In a way, its a shame. Then something else became available, a car I've known for a few years.
The 930. I like personal challenges and learning things that are in another league. This 930 certainly qualifies as that. I lived with this car for about 2 days and determined that it is exactly what I want:
Damn quick
Extraordinarily well sorted
A cage
Little 'flash'; low key but brutal
Zero 'lag'. Much like an extremely - & impossibly - high powered 3.6.
Well planted & wide of stance
Has many of the parts that I installed on the 3.6 - and then some
3 oil coolers
A HP/TQ curve that is unbelievable
Ownership that was at the ultimate enthusiast/fanatical level
I am ready.
