Hey Super,
I kind of prefer the longer studs/aluminum 'star-type' spacer route for the lower unsprung weight. Slightly higher cost for unsprung weight seems like a reasonable trade-off to me. I realize the 6 mm/0.25" fronts are cheap and easy, but you should be able to handle 21 mm or 1" up front with minimal 'rolling' as a resort, if necessary!
