Couldn't get either of the back ones off. I made sure that I turned them anti-clockwise on each side. I didn't check the front as I gave up to regroup. Also noticed that the one of the CV boots was ripped and grease was sprayed under the car. Another project to tackle.
I was using a 7 mm open ended spanner (wrench) on the nipples as the ring part wouldn't fit in there. However, on closer inspection the RHS bleeer appeared to be smaller than the 7mm spanner, looked like 6.5mm (6mm spanner was too small).
I might try a socket on it next time after I spray it with penetrant.
I just want to avoid making the problem worse and having it off the road for longer than required.
