I'm a peacenik, but I come from a logging town. In one of the bars there's a sign saying

(don't even ask)
In my experience, fistfights are generally over in thirty seconds. The trick is to hit the other guy in the face, and keep hitting him there until it's over. Don't box. Use big roundhouse swings rapidfire.
Or better yet. Walk away.
