I mentioned this elsewhere but here it goes.
Co worker (Jon) goes to bar with very hot girlfriend and other coworkers.
Drunk in bar decides he is in love.
Drunk keeps running mouth for hours in bar Jon and g/f ignore.
Drunk leaves bar.
Jon leaves bar about 20 minute later with g/f and other friends.
As they walk up to his car a pickup truck pulls across parking lot rolls down drivers window and the drunk from in the bar tells Jons g/f he wants to f*ck her.
John calmly walks around car and tells the guy to drive away.
Guy starts to open his door to get out of his truck. Jon punches him in the side of the face, breaking his eye socket, cheek bone and causing nerve damage.
Jon trains and fights in the UFC.
Drunk calls cops as Jon calmly get in his car and leaves.
Cops pull Jon over down road arrest him.
Long story short, State Attorney gets hold of it and will not let it go.
Jon gets 3 years probation.
Just walk away. In this day and age no one owns up to their mistakes. Its not worth defending yourself, better to flee than fight.

How did the drunk know who to blame for getting hit? How did the cops know where and who Jon was? Bet Jon used a public defender. If the bartender could testify that the guy was drunk, it would have be a open and shut case.
