Would they get hot enough? I know the 914 is lighter, but wouldn't you still be aiming for about 30 hot?
I have a mate with a 914/6 who runs the same sort of hot pressures as me, about 30psi for R032s and 38psi for RA1s.
I normally start around 26psi cold, it then takes about two laps on a track or 1-2km of rallying to bring them up to 30psi, before which they are a little slippy.
