Hi Steve,
The taxes are the most desirable in this area for waterfront, currently running under $4000/annually comparable to waterfront in Kelowna which runs over $20,000.
Sorrento is a small Town, remote that will never see high taxes. The latest assessment was 1 year ago and the taxes went up a couple hundred bucks.... which is the norm for every 5 year cycle.
The property is also on water and Sewer which runs about $700/year. Natural gas heats the pool and electricity heats the house. I should mention the 400 Amp service with a fully loaded shop.
Richard,
I'm a compulsive mover...... bought and sold close to 40 homes now privately; trying to settle down a bit, but my kids are still in school and too young to retire. Waterfront is really moving these days too; we bought and sold 2 other waterfront properties over the winter and did very well on them. I've got some plans for developing my own waterfront retirement home? We'll see. The next move is into apartment buildings though...... hate being a Landlord, but the income will come in handy in a few years time.
Thanks for your posts guys!
We're planning on reducing our asking price, as we were looking for around a million on this property.
Cheers
