Looks like crap to me as well... Although this movie is supposed to be close to the Frank Miller storyline of batman starting out, so his technology isnt all that developed yet... hence it's all rough looking and not streamlined...
Sorry, just dont buy Christian Bale as batman.....
To me, he is forever Patrick Bateman, running naked with cowboy boots, down a hallway with a chainsaw...
