I never understood why people on this board got so upset about a Chevy engine in a Porsche until I went to Spring Carlisle this year, where I saw a Corvette with a big block Ford.
Seriously, though... what Jared said. If you have the skill to make it come together, go for it. I saw a yellow 914 at the Carlisle Import/Kit/Replicar show last weekend that was beyond sweet. It had a small block Chevy, very very fat fender flares, and the whole job looked like the builder paid attention to details.
